VA Puget Sound serves Veterans from a five-state area in the Pacific Northwest. We have two main divisions: American Lake and Seattle. In addition to our main medical centers we offer services to our patients in seven community-based outpatient clinics in Bellevue, Bremerton, Federal Way, Mount Vernon, North Seattle, South Sound and Port Angeles.

Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
We have volunteers who work in waiting areas at throughout the day. These volunteers can help you find your appointment or help arrange transportation if walking to your appointment will be difficult.
Security
VA Puget Sound has a local police service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of our facilities and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial (253) 582-8440, Ext. 76757 in American Lake or (206) 768-2899 Ext. 63113 in Seattle. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
In case of an emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
Because the VA Puget Sound is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Lost and Found
If you have lost any personal items during your stay, tell your health care team. You may also call 1-800-329-8387, Ext. 76098 for the American Lake Division or Ext. 66677 for the Seattle Division.
Chapel
A nondenominational chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital in Seattle and in Building 111 at American Lake. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic Mass are held on a regular basis.
