About the Wall

The Wall was conceived to recognize Veterans who have served their country in wartime and have been personally decorated for heroism, bravery or valor.

Where is the Wall?

The wall is currently in its temporary location on the first floor “sky bridge” that connects the two main buildings of the Seattle Division. Its permanent location will be in the new main entrance of the Seattle Division that will soon be under construction as part of a major renovation and remodeling project.

Who can be inducted?

To be considered for induction, nominees should:

• be affiliated with VA Puget Sound Health Care System as a patient, staff member or volunteer.
• have received decoration or commendation with a personal award and citation for heroism or valor, which will be validated by the Department of Defense. List of U.S. Armed Forces Medals.* Other medals honoring valor, bravery or sacrifice will be considered.

Nominations are accepted between Memorial Day and Labor Day each year. The annual induction ceremony occurs during the week of Veterans Day each November. Send your nomination materials to:
