“These hiring events are intended to give candidates a chance to meet VA Puget Sound recruiters, learn more about the available positions, jump start the screening process and potentially leave with a tentative job offer,” said VA Puget Sound Nurse Recruiter Christopher Diangco. 

“VA Puget Sound nursing staff work regardless of low census status - private sector nursing staff are sent home in those situations. “With VA Puget Sound nursing leadership and scholarship support, LPNs and NAs have a bounty of opportunities to grow in their careers and can achieve their greatest aspirations while caring for our country’s heroes,” said Diangco. “After one year of full-time employment at VA Puget Sound, LPNs and NAs are eligible to apply for the Employee Incentive Scholarship Program (EISP) to further their education with a service obligation period of 1-3 years upon graduation.”
